Initial session to check educational qualifications to promote Principals fromGrade iii to Grade ii will be held at the ministry on June 2,5,6,12. Total of 1056 candidate have applied for their promotions. Also there will be a qualification evaluation session for the teachers intending to be promoted from Grade ii to Grade i.
There was no proper procedure followed when promoting competent teachers during the last decade. Hence concerns raised from principals on this regards. The Minister of Education had directed the officials to conduct the interviews and initiate the promotions without paying any attention to any other political aspect.
