There a group of Sri Lanka Freedom Party local government candidates and regional organizers met General Secretary of United National Party Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam and gave their support.  

To enhance the productivity of teaching learning process in schools it is a timely requirement to use information and communication technology, expanding the opportunities to grant laptops to schools to be used as a learning tool the Cabinet has given the approval to the memorandum forwarded by Education Minister, Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam Attorney at law.

Accordingly, steps will be taken to provide these laptops to 665 secondary schools with grade 6-11 as per one education zone from each province representing nine provinces of the island.

Seen the future in two three decades ahead, accordingly taking correct judgments and decisions to develop all fields including education, United National Party who see the future of children will be forming the next government stated General Secretary Education Minister, Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam Attorney at law.

The General Secretary of United National Party expressed these views yesterday (30) joining a rally held at Kurunegala for the victory of Presidential candidate Mr. Sajith Premedasa.

Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam remembering bitter experience he and representatives of United National Party had to face during past election period, stated although the opponent parties made allegations using various media his party did not try to attack in return.

As the Right to Information Act is implemented today any person can go to a government institute and get to know information, Independent Commissions have been established and steps were taken to made Judiciary and Public Service including Police independent, without knowing anything of these decisions some ask what did this government do, Minister explained that this government has done work without shows.
